There were gifts given and received, according to some of the conversations I overheard, and we were certainly recipients and suppliers as well!
I suppose the hands were contributory factors, with one being tempted into 3NT contracts for example, without adequate stoppers.
But that’s all just excuses on my part, because you see, I also had my multifocals on for the first time, so I can blame them for the fact that I gave Anne a little gift in a NT contract. But, did you not hear me say that I also had gifts given to me……….?
Well done again to Bill and Jan, for winning two weeks in a row, with Lisa and Trish a good second.
And, lastly, thanks to Caroline for a very pleasant evening of bridge.
