Before I get to the results of last night’s activities, let me briefly address something that occurred during the last three boards, late at night!
I speak for both Ian and myself when we apologise for our somewhat loud ‘ discussion’ about the hand which we had just played. The argument was unnecessary and certainly not in the spirit of what I am always talking about. It was a misunderstanding, We are still partners. We agree to differ. Sorry. Put it down to the first six numbers of our ID’s, it was late, whatever!
OK, that’s enough! On to the events of last night. That consistent pair of Bill and Jan came out on top, but only by one matchpoint. Second was Paul and Bridie, then came Lisa and Trish.
I’m now going to take a much delayed walk with that very patient dog of mine, who just lies at my feet and expects very little, apart from the morning walks, his daily food and water and a pat on the head. We should all learn something from our animals. Patience is the first virtue they pass on to those of us who are stressed.
