Once again, for those members who don’t come out at night, it was very cosy in the Ladies Bar, with a log fire burning, great hands, good competition, camaraderie of note and the bridge was awesome.
Deirdre and Helen did it again, with 66%, followed by Anne and Diana with 55% and Bram and yours truly a close third.
News from Ian is that he is recovering steadily from his back operation and should be back to normal within about three weeks, following which he will be off to the South Coast for his winter sojourn down there. Oh what it is to be a man of leisure, with time on his hands, able to play bridge whenever one has the urge. Someone has to do it, I suppose.
We all wish you a complete recovery, Ian, and look forward to your return.
